Beyond the search. Seeing what already and always is.
What this is
There is 'work' very different from that of career and personal development. Not a separate layer but a separate dimension. Growing up is thinning the protective barriers and distorting lenses of conditioning to re-integrate one's self and live in more direct contact with current reality.
Waking up is realising the identity of the seemingly personal self as the Self that holds and is reality. Spiritual Inquiry is the 'path to' Waking up.
While the Growing up path may be vaguely linear, the Waking Up path is a spiral - circling the Truth and getting glimpses from different angles, while spiralling toward it. Like a moth to the flame?
How it works
The work meets you wherever you are in the spiral.
We work directly with what is present: the experience of separation, the compulsion to understand, the terror of losing the self you've worked so hard to build, and the humanity that doesn't disappear when one realises one is Being, holding all that is.
Sessions are 60 minutes and virtual. The pace is yours. The commitment is to honesty - yours and mine.
Where most people start
Waking Up is not a destination you arrive at by reading more. The Guided Taste is the natural entry level - three short videos, guided by Doug, that fly you over the territory rather than talk about it. No background required, no tradition to already belong to.
€19 for the video guide, or €37 with feedback - bring your reflections directly to Doug for a personal response. Start with the video guide and you can add feedback later for €20.
Twice a year, live
The Guided Taste is yours to work through alone. The Workshop is where the looking gets direct - one live, guided session moving from re-orientation into genuine inquiry and re-grounding, with Doug facilitating and generous time for questions and discussion.
Saturday 5 December 2026, 13:30-17:00 UK time. €97 for this founding cohort - €147 thereafter.
Not sure yet? Spiritual Inquiry: A Live Taste runs free on Friday 23 October - ninety minutes live, and a good way to find out whether this work is for you.

What people say
"For nearly 40 years, I’ve found solace, comfort and inspiration from dozens of spiritual teachers, including Eckhart Tolle, Mooji, Gangaji, Rupert Spira, and Adyashanti. However, one-on-one spiritual counsel is virtually impossible with any of them, due to their name recognition. Discovering Doug Fraley on the internet and being able to actually speak with him directly was a tremendous gift in my life. I consider him to be a remarkably grounded ‘spiritual guru’ who engages ‘truth seekers’ with his enlightened humor, compassion, empathy, clarity, true wisdom and unconditional love. He’s the real deal."
Carol-Ann - Florida
"Doug has the unique ability to help me navigate multiple layers of questioning, from short term career/relationship problem solving through to guiding a deeper reflection of what ‘this’ is all about. I have a deep interest in life’s big questions and mysteries, but I also live a pretty normal life grappling with everyday problems, aspirations and goals. Over the years, Doug has been one of the key sounding boards that has helped me bring the pieces of the puzzle together."
Mark - Melbourne
"Doug is a mentor, spiritual teacher and intellectual guide in exploring the fundamental concerns of life. He is a self-realized being, and his sincere intent to help others is admirable. A gifted healer, Doug helped me see the light from the place of darkness I was in. (A guru is one who guides you from darkness to light)."
Sara - Illinois
